Submitting short stories to publications is a whole other microcosm of stress and excitement. Some places have a quick turnaround and respond in a reasonable amount of time and some places are like… ā€œIf you don’t hear from us in 100 years, assume you’ve been rejected.ā€ šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ¤£ And on top of that, they don’t allow simultaneous submissions. šŸ˜…

I really like the publications that sends you status updates! I got one on Saturday saying that my story was being reviewed and I felt a little jolt of anticipation!

I am editing and rewriting a couple more shorts and will be submitting them within the next couple days hopefully. My journey in building my impenetrable rejection armor continues. Wish me luck!
