Submitting a few shorts… 🩳

Submitting short stories to publications is a whole other microcosm of stress and excitement. Some places have a quick turnaround and respond in a reasonable amount of time and some places are like… “If you don’t hear from us in 100 years, assume you’ve been rejected.” And on top of that, they don’t allow simultaneous submissions.

I really like the publications that sends you status updates! I got one on Saturday saying that my story was being reviewed and I felt a little jolt of anticipation!

I am editing and rewriting a couple more shorts and will be submitting them within the next couple days hopefully. My journey in building my impenetrable rejection armor continues. Wish me luck!
