Book cover of 'The Dreamer,' the first installment in The Black Stone Cycle by Linda Patricia Cleary. Two characters are depicted, one with brown hair in a blue suit and another with blue skin and a hooded cloak, both reaching towards a glowing orb between them.

After many weeks of The Dreamer being in limbo, I am finally listed on Ingram & bookshop.org again! I was so excited to initially get on there before Bookbaby dropped Ingram. I’m glad they let me keep my ISBN and transfer it to Ingram. It was such a debacle. It was almost like starting all over again.

Self-publishing has been such a learning experience! Especially the distribution and marketing aspects. I’ve repeatedly said it’s like working 10 different jobs… on a 24-7 schedule.

The Dreamer is also available to purchase at a few of my local shops, which is a big deal to me! I may do research on popular sci-fi/fantasy bookshops and reach out to them to carry my book. It was important to me to have my books in libraries and bookstores, that’s why all this distribution drama has been so confusing and upsetting! 😓 I’ll be doing my first book signing at the end of this month at a shop called Jenny K. and hopefully be speaking at a couple school libraries before the year is done.

TWO EXCITING THINGS! The Divide (Book 2) should be ready by the end of this year and my artist Mario Robert, is working on the cover and also a bunch of character art. I cannot wait to see it. I hired an awesome editor who I can’t wait to start working with this summer.

If you haven’t reviewed my book yet, PLEASE do so! It’s such a big deal! It’s the best way you can support me. Thanks so much for subscribing and I will be posting special stories and teasers soon for book two!
