I just won the Eric Hoffer Award for best Young Adult book! 🏆📚👽✨

I found out on Monday afternoon that I won the Eric Hoffer Young Adult Book Award! My book was on the shortlist for the grand prize, but did not win. I won a First Horizon Award, which is for a debut author and best young adult book! I was also nominated for the Montaigne Medal, but did not receive it! There is always next year with book 2, which is even better!

It is blowing my mind! I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I were ever nominated for a Hugo or Nebula. Does it ever feel normal? Will imposter syndrome ever go away? I feel like I’m in a weird dream… alternating from awesome to scary.
