This Sunday – Bay Area Book Festival 5/31, Rising Star Judge & pics from my book signing! 📚👽🚀✨🏆

BAY AREA BOOK FESTIVAL/Rising Star Judge, CLBC review & award and also some pics from my book signing @ Jenny K.!

I will have an author table at the Bay Area Book Festival this Sunday in downtown Berkeley from 11 AM- 5 PM. I’ll be selling books, posters, goodie bags, and giving little freebies! Should be a blast! It’s my first author table. I’ll be on Allston Way at the author pavilion.

I was chosen to be a first-round judge for the WFWA (Women’s Fiction Writers Association) Rising Star Awards! I’m honored and excited. I will receive my batch of stories to read and critique tomorrow. 🏆

My live reading and book signing at Jenny K. was a blast! I had so much fun, and I’m so glad I have that experience as an author now. Level Up! After this weekend, I can add the author table to my experience. It’s weird how fun, draining, and terrifying all this is. I need to take a break from marketing, but it’s hard when you self-publish. My books are the only things on my mind. I’m also jumping back into voice acting and narrating a wonderful YA zombie book right now! Here are some pictures from my book event.

I’ve been meaning to post my review from Chick Lit Cafe’s Book Reviews! I also received a CLBC Book Excellence Gold Award for best Teen/YA, Sci-Fi, Space Fantasy & Queer Fiction through them. Excerpt from the review: Themes of grief, family, identity, and growing up are woven seamlessly throughout, and the found-family element anchors the space-opera adventure in heartfelt realism.

That’s it for now! The Beta Reader deadline for The Divide is coming up on June 12th, and then it goes to the editor on the 22nd! I’m really hoping that this book can be released on 11/11 this year! I’m working on book 3 right now. The Convergence is what I’m naming it… for now! I also want to start working on my “cozy” sci-fi series, The Copper Creek Castaways. It’s gonna be so awesome.
